Setting a scene - 5.30pm - Stirling Castle
The last of the day visitors have left, and the Great Hall awaits 200 guests for a fabulous charity gala dinner. We have worked through the previous night to rig the lighting in the spectacular vaulted ceiling. Now we need to carry out our final focus, build our stage, and install our sound systems. We have got two hours to complete everything, ensuring perfection for our guests arrival at 7.30pm.
There's not much time, there's no rehearsal, but our team are waiting 'in the wings' ready to swoop. At 7.00pm it's all ready. The space is transformed. This is the magic.......
There are a number of ingredients to the Finix magic.
For a start, at the beginning of the process, when planning your event with you, we listen very carefully. And we're approachable, we take on board what you want to achieve and are happy to discuss ideas and themes with you. And we keep on being open and approachable till it's all done and dusted.
We're creative. Again and again we work our magic: great ideas to make your event unique.
We're upfront about costs. We provide a shopping list showing all the details in everyday language so you know what's what and what it all costs. We also guide you through it, making sure you get maximum impact for your budget. For larger commissions we produce fantastic computerized visuals that simulate the event as far as possible.
We know all the major venues in Scotland. And if we don't know a venue, (say a private house or garden) we'll recce before giving advice. We are the recommended contractor for many historic venues. Talking of which, it's handy to know what can and can't be done in terms of things like access and listed building constraints.
When it comes to the nuts and bolts that make an event work we take every item of technical support into consideration. And we mean everything: we've seen it all, we know what can go wrong or what can be overlooked. That's where there's no substitute for experience.
